Daniel Sung is the manager of Medical Policy at the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation. The programs under his management regulate the medical side of the Colorado workers’ compensation system, and include Independent Medical Examinations, Physicians’ Accreditation, Utilization Standards, Medical Treatment Guidelines, and the Medical Fee Schedule. He has extensive experience in the healthcare arena. Prior to joining the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation, he was a senior policy analyst with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, where he focused on shaping national policy in the areas of healthcare reimbursement, medical coding, occupational health, and workers’ compensation. He received his A.B. in Political Science from the University of Chicago; J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington; M.B.A. from Colorado State University; and M.S. Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver.
