Honorable Patricia J. Clisham, Ret., graduated from Colorado State University in Boulder, Colorado in 1970 and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado in 1974. Judge Clisham served as the Assistant Attorney General of the State of Colorado from 1976 to 1980 and became an Administrative Law Judge for the State of Colorado’s Department of Administration from 1980-1988. Following her time on the bench, she devoted 26 years to handling all aspects of workers’ compensation claims. In 2007, professionals in workers’ compensation recognized her as an Outstanding Defense Attorney, and in 2008, Judge Clisham received the Lansford Butler Award, the highest award given by the Colorado Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section. From 2014 to her retirement in 2020, Judge Clisham served as a Prehearing Administrative Law Judge for the State of Colorado’s Division of Workers’ Compensation. She also served as the Manager of the office of the Director of the Division of Workers’ Compensation and was recognized as an Outstanding Department of Workers’ Compensation Employee. Judge Clisham’s experience and knowledge continue to benefit stakeholders within workers’ compensation through her speaking engagements and mentorship of current workers’ compensation professionals.
