Gina Johannesman is a supervisor in the Medical Policy Unit at the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation, overseeing the Medical Utilization Review Special Funds, Onboarding and Provider Education and Support programs. Gina began her career at the Division of Workers’ Compensation in the Provider Education unit as a consultant and impairment rating specialist before advancing as a supervisor. Gina’s professional experience includes 20 years as a physical therapist, providing medical care to injured workers. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Colorado College and master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University. Gina also serves as a Human Resources Liaison for the Division and is leading a dynamic team in the creation and implementation of the Division’s New Hire Onboarding program. She is passionate about building a welcoming work culture and providing new employees the opportunity to cultivate professional relationships within the organization.
